Hello, I'm Reuben.

An Englishman photographing love stories in Texas.

I moved here from England to marry the love of my life, Vanessa. We met on TikTok, of all places. Texas has been faster, hotter and a lot less rainy than England. But both places have one thing in common. They feel like home.

I picked up my first camera at twelve and never really put it down. I grew up in Bristol and went professional in 2024 photographing food for Michelin star restaurants. Now I get to photograph what I love most, which is people.

Honestly, the camera is my excuse to meet you. I love hearing people's stories, where you've come from, what you've walked through, and what brought you here. I've got plenty of time to listen. Who knows, we might end up friends.

My style

My style comes from walking around old English country houses as a boy, past huge oil paintings of countryside, flowers and grand old scenes. There's something timeless in those colours, and that's what I chase. Photos that don't follow today's trends, so in 20 years you'll look back and think "wow, this still looks beautiful."

I love the organic, gentle feel of film, and I pair it with a modern digital camera. You get all the character of film with the sharpness of today.

Outside of shooting

Sometimes Vanessa comes along too. She has a brilliant eye for posing and direction, and she makes the whole thing more fun.

Outside of shooting you'll find me chasing the perfect cup of coffee, listening to worship music, reading my Bible, and with friends, or on a long walk, thinking.
